1. Pulp Furnish Combination and Paper Machine (Tambour & Parent Reels)
At the first stage of tissue production, long-fiber, short-fiber and broke bales are charged into the pulper line via the Pulp Combination screen and combined with automated wet-end chemical dosing.
Giant Tambour (Jumbo Roll) reels wound at the paper machine reel-up and parent reels slit on the rewinder receive unique barcode IDs, with automatic calculation of trim loss and material yield per tambour.

Parent reels exiting the paper machine are paired at the left and right exit stations on the Reel Grouping screen. When a converting operator triggers a reel call-off from the line POD, the LGV (Laser Guided Vehicle) fleet autonomously transports the approved reel group to the requesting converting line.
3. Converting POD, Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and Plant Monitoring
On converting lines, parent reel consumption, instantaneous speed losses, product group changeovers, Henkaten (change point) logs and shift checklists are managed directly from operator POD screens.
Laboratory SQC measurements and Usage Decision (UD) screens prevent non-standard reels and pallets from reaching dispatch, while the central Plant Monitoring Cockpit summarizes the entire facility on a single screen.
